His research focus on gender and culture has made him too savvy for that. He loves wearing fashionable shirts and ties to keep his students attentive and also is in a band that covers great songs from the 1980s like the Talking Heads and The Ramones.

Ramirez said it’s hard to stay on trend while also being a vegan. Pleather cowboy boots are tough to find in South Texas but he is committed to animals. Ramirez is a man on a mission to protect animals and to change the “mismatched and unfashionable” perception of professors.

I wouldn't be caught dead wearing: fur, because PETA says so. Seriously, there's a ton of other animal-free options that are even more fashionable. I would like to be in a PETA campaign one day.

The worst fashion advice I ever received: If you still fit in it, wear it.
