SEARSPORT, Maine — A Belfast man was flown to a Bangor hospital late Monday afternoon after suffering serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident on Brock Road.
Jonathan Carlson, 22, was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center, where he was being treated for serious, possibly life-threatening, internal injuries, Searsport Police Chief Dick LeHaye said Monday night. Further information about Carlson’s medical condition was not immediately available.
Carlson was the driver of a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck involved in a rollover on a stretch of Brock Road between two sharp curves, LeHaye said. The truck, which was heading west, left the roadway, struck a utility pole and rolled at least two times, ejecting the driver.
Also injured was a passenger, 21-year-old Thorin Robbins, who is from the Belfast area but whose address was not immediately available, LeHaye said. Robbins was taken to Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast, where he was treated and then released.
