BUSSELTON Bukido Taijutsu Sensei Phil Holt was delighted with his students as several passed the test for their black belts, on December 18.
It was an exhausting day for Phil and his students with gradings running from 8.30am-4pm.
First up were Mitch Middleton and Brigitte O’Brien going for their junior blue belts.
“This now allows them to merge with one of the biggest training groups in the dojo containing about 17 students,” Sensei Phil said.
“This is a good thing because with a large group you get access to a good pool of training partners.”
There were also six adults grading for their blue belt.
Phil said they demonstrated the required sword, sparring, wrestling and multiple opponent sections with ease and skill.
Next was the main event for the day. For the next seven hours two students would be tested for their brown belt and three for their junior black belt.
